Once you have gotten to Insight 99, you
are required to make a choice to either sub and be a dual-path aisling or
master as a pure path. Everyone can master, but whatever the 2nd class you
choose is, will be your mastering class. For example a rogue who gets to 99
then masters would be a 'Pure Rogue,' a rogue the gets to 99 then subs to
Priest would be a 'Rogue/Priest' and would learn the priest master
skills once they are ready to master. If rogue if your ending class when
you are ready to master here are the skills, spells and armors you will be
able to acquire, as well as your mastering requirements.
Rogue Master Requirements:
1) You must first meet the HP/MP Requirements to master. Rogue must have
4250HP and 2200MP
2) Next you must have the required skills or spells in order to master.
Rogues must get the spell Maiden Trap to 90/100 and max the skill Peek 100/100.
3)Next thing you must do in order to master is craft the
Fae's Flute at the Fae in East Woods 20-1. To craft it you must have a
Copper File and a
Smith's Hammer. You can either buy your master set or hunt them in Cthonic
Remains 55.
4) Lastly you must have 200000000 exp, and be ready to sacrifice it to
master.
Pure Master vs Sub Master:
Subs simply get the skills/spells of 2 classes. Pure Rogue can learn
the skill Shadow Figure, which is a slight damage dealing ambush that has
no aether and can only be used to ambush adjacent monsters or aislings.
The skill is fairly useful to continuously attack from the rear of a
monster, but rogues have very weak assails, so its not of that much use in
a hunt, very nice for getting through large crowd and avoiding people in
the arena. Pure
class masters also gain better Grand Master Armors and Weapons which you
can see below. Also note that once you become an Archer you lose your master
and grand master gear. Pure Archers get a spell called Blinding Bolt,
which is simply quite useless in most cases, it it a 4 line, 7 second
blinding spell, and it does not work on aislings.
