PORTE FOREST

Walkthrough - Insight 11 - 40

STEP 1: PREPERATION

Go to Suomi, past Undine. You'll need a group, capable bashers, priest and wizard recommended. Dark Belts and Dark Necklaces are a MUST!

STEP 2: Starting the Quest

1: Talk to the Cherry Farmer about the Porte Forest.

2:Call "Porte Forest" out loud to the weapons smith in Suomi. He will ask you to collect 4 trent roots for him. Trent roots are dropped by Tree Demons in areas 3L, 3C and 3R. Each member of the group will need 4.

3:Call "Skin" out loud to the fae in Suomi. She will ask you to collect 5 Silver Wolf Mane Fur for her. Silver Wolf Mane Fur is dropped by Silver Kobolt in areas 4L, 4C and 4R. They are hard to find, and this hence why this step is often missed. However, the tarp that is gained from this step protects it's holder from the boss mantis' one-hit kill blow, making it very useful if you have the time and patience to collect the Furs.
NB. This part is optional! You do NOT have to do this step to complete the quest.

STEP 3: Collection

Here is a guide to the different areas of Porte Forest. Using this map, collect the items from the above steps.

STEP 4: Collect the Turuc Pendant

Use the map from step 3, make your way to area 4R. An easy way to do this step is to go through areas 2C, 3C and 4C, then turn right into 4R, the area you collect the Turuc Pendant is right near that gateway. Walk around the rocks until you receive a po-up, click next, and you will receive the pendant in your inventory.

STEP 5: The Trap Room

Once you go past area 4C, you'll come across a trap room, skills and spells do not work here, but there are no monsters, so you won't need them. There are 6 one-hit traps in this rooms, and theonly way to not die is to have 6 Ginat Ant Wing's in your inventory, they are collected from the Giant Ant's .
However if you don't have them, you can simply get your group and walk single file through the room redding the person in front (for behind for the person last in the line) as you go. You must have a group of 3 people at least because often there are 2 traps one after the one, so you need 3 people to get across them safely. Once you've made it through that room, you'll come across a smaller room, you can regenerate your health, mana, ready your spells, talk about tactics and whatnot in this area. When you are ready, proceed to the boss room.

STEP 6: The Mantis

(The Porte Forest mantis is green, however, the screenshots didn't work out)
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT! KILL IT FAST!! And keep your reds handy, cause this mantis is MEAN! Even if there are two mantis' in this room, only focus on killing one, cause you'll get ported out of this room as soon as you kill one. Once it's dead, you'll be taken to the little girl, talk to her, and she's send you to her father. At this stage, you'll have the legend mark "Saved Daughter of Porte Forest" and you'll have the Tristar Ring in your inventory.
If you which to obtain the next legend mark for this quest, "Eased the suffering of Porte Forest", you must talk to the mundane in the building you in and give him the tristar ring. You'll gain 430k experience for the second mark. Then, you can scroll to whichever land you've got a scroll for and be content with the knowledge you've survived Porte Forest Quest with 2 legend marks, or a legend mark and a golden ring.
